“We are honored to have been chosen as a host community for the 2010 Road National Cycling Championships. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the sport of cycling to our community, to encourage active living and to share our spirit with the country. We are thrilled to see that in just three years the Morgan Devon Grand Prix of Cycling has not only become one of the largest stage races in Alberta but in 2010 it will be part of the largest cycling event in the country! We are looking forward to rolling out the red carpet and giving the athletes the royal treatment,” says Town of Devon Mayor, Anita Fisher.
As the host city Edmonton will hold the Elite and U23 races on the first weekend, with the National Criterium Championships occurring at the Alberta Legislature on Canada Day. The Devon events will occur on the second weekend (July 2-4, 2010)
